Such a scam. You sign up for a promotion that has one-time pass benefit only to not be able to use it. But hey, United got me to sign up and hooked me in. The greeters were rude in letting me know this, like get out we're full one-time passes are not allowed.
This is my third time not being admitted into the United Club and being told it's full. The club isn't full, it just isn't accessible using One-Time passes. What is the point of having club passes if they can't be used? I have been flying united for over 20 years and it's embarrassing to see how much the service has gone down hill.
UPDATE: not much happier, but lunch today was not half bad. Meatballs with elbow pasta and a pretty zesty marinara sauce. Also a rice and chicken bowl that was pretty tasty. But: NO GELATO MACHINE!!! I've gotten spoiled with the machines at MCO and DFW and now I want my gelato. LOL wow, first world problems, right? Ok, I've about had it with United Lounges. The breakfast has been going steadily downhill and now you can't bring in outside food so you are stuck with what they have or sit in the airport seats with your breakfas... read more

Not impressive or nearly as nice as expected for the annual United Club credit card fee. Very sad IAD doesn't have a centurion, though understand this is a United hub. :-/
