i had a HORRIBLE experience at the United C1 lounge on 04/27. . the entire time i sat, there was a security guard staring at me. i decided to leave due to the staring making me uncomfortable. before i left, i asked one of the waitresses if i can leave my starbucks drink outside of the bathroom on the partition, the server said yes. as i come out the bathroom, THAT SAME SECURITY GUARD IS STANDING IN FRONT OF THE WOMENS BATHROOM. this bathroom is separate from the mens and is covered by a wall. this man went behind the wall to... read more

There were two United Club lounges after entering security at Terminal C. This located after a right turn followed by a left turn prior to C1 gate. There was a short wait at check-in. There were high chairs at the full bar, along the walls, and by the windows. There were sofas and benches as well. There were three single phone-rooms to be used up to one hour. There were light salad bars with snacks and fruits. There were hot and cold beverages.
No access for domestic first class…Then why charge so much for tickets?
In a world of lackluster, generic airport lounges, especially in the meandering jungle that IS IAH, this United Club is a bit more to my liking than some of the others at this airport. All the typical food and beverage options with a full bar, easy access to the sky train, and LOADS of natural light, which is super important to me when I fly!
