I have been with Farmers for 12 years. The customer service was great and bank policies were okay. Since they merged with United, however, I have been dissatisfied. The latest: I wired a money transfer from Commonwealth Credit Union to my Farmers/United account. CCU charged a $15.00 fee; this was okay, because they always do and I knew about it. LOTS of problems, insufferable bureaucracy. The employees are very nice, but the Stalinesk building gives me the creeps. They started charging for what I get for free at my credit union; even deactivated another account because I hadn't used it in a year due to the terrible website.
Absolutely the worst customer service in Banking that I've ever experienced. Requires minimum time to offer certain services and charges for accounts under a certain amount.
