When my account was compromised United Bank acted immediately. The problem was taken care of in a timely manner. I thank them for their swift and professional action.
Recently had a very bad experience with United Bank. They seem to have no ethics in that they are willing to change things to suit them. I was selling a real estate property to one of their clients, United wrote a pre-approval letter, and then when the person went for the loan they not the bank asked for a larger loan, which United asked for more down payment which the client did not have. Best of the best. Take a very personal interest in their customers. They keep two dollar bills in stock because two customers like them. Popcorn on Fridays. United Bank is NOT the place to bank if you want to be treated fairly. Your deposit is not credited timely but your debits certainly are, I guess they need all of those overdraft fees to buy the suckers for their lobby. TODAY, I am leaving United Bank and taking all, yes ALL of my business to Poca Valley Bank. At Poca Valley you are treated as a customer, not a non-person. These people really care and are very approachable with problems, good at finding solutions for you. I am grateful to them for helping me fix bloopers.
The current manager of this store is not in touch with the full spectrom of the customers that frequent the Mount DeChantal, Wheeling,WV store. He seems to cater to the upscale people in the area. Two things come to mind on this subject. He first canceled delivery beyond the city limits of Wheeling. Now he has decided not to make deliveries on the day before Thanksgiving.
