I know we’ve all had problems with airlines but I believe it’s also worthwhile to recognize when one receives great service. My wife and I bought nonrefundable international tickets to visit family about 5 months ago. However I was diagnosed with cancer in the interim and have upcoming surgery. I spoke with a United representative by phone wondering if we could get a credit for future flights. They flew me where I needed, didn't change me an arm and leg and I didn't die im a plane crash so..... works for me.

I booked a premium economy flight. It was delayed to the point of missing my connection so I got rebooked to a different flight. The new one downgraded me to economy. I asked at the desk if I could get put back in premium economy or be refunded the upgrade amount and was told to contact customer service. Spent 30 minutes waiting for customer service for them to tell me I need to call reservations. I called reservations and they hung up on me 3x without saying anything, and then blocked my phone number.
