I wish I could say I knew more about AC Maintenance in order to determine if pricing is fair.
I had a very disappointing experience with United Air Temp. Under my American Home Shield warranty, they came out to inspect my AC unit and immediately said it needed replacement. They also insisted on adding 8 pounds of Freon, and when I asked if I could provide my own Freon, they refused. This led to an additional $1,080 charge. When I asked for clarification, they explained they would take my unit, repair it at their shop, and then reinstall it.
