We recently had Unique Wood Designs install new hardwood floors through out our home, and the quality is absolutely outstanding. The materials they used are top-notch, and you can see the craftsmanship in every plank. The installation team was professional and paid great attention to detail, ensuring a perfect finish. Years ago this was a great business. However, our stairs were refinished in 2022, and the fir portion of the steps were horribly refinished. Sure, there is bruising to be expected, but some steps were sanded at two levels, nail heads were left exposed, and worst of all the polyurethane was applied over sanding dust. We contacted other firms here and Fort Collins, and they were amazed at the lack of quality. Too bad to see this happen to a local business and to customers.
Do NOT hire this business. They installed the floors in our home under contract to our builder. After we moved in, we noticed that the filler was coming out in several places. At first, Shane was really nice and agreed to fix them. He sent his employees out to redo the filling and it made the floors a mess. So he again was nice and agreed to refinish the floors. We love our floors so much! We bought a rehab home and wanted to tear out the carpet in the bedrooms and living room to match the existing hardwood throughout the rest of the house. They matched it perfectly and buffed out the existing to make it look nice and to make sure it matched the new flooring. They knew we were coming in to do a ton of work to the house so they told us they would wait to do the final buff and coat until we were done!
