These guys are fantastic. I'm a fairly new bird "parront"... 2 years in & still learning birds. Needless to say I panic when my Yogi , (bluecrowned conure), sneezes or has any out of her norm things going on. They ALWAYS get me right in & take care of my Yogi. The young lady at the front desk is so pleasant. Finding good bird vets is a challenge on a regular visit. Finding someone to get you in the same day is an unusual blessing. They have never turned me away. Thank you Union Street Vet for all you do �
We've been bringing our 33 year old parrot to Dr. Hartman for over 10 years and don't know what we would do if he wasn't there.....we love him!!
As Always Dr.Hartman and staff were gentle and compassionate.

We love Dr. Hartman and so does our 10 year old dog (and he hardly likes anyone!). He's been treating Oliver since we adopted him as a puppy. We even moved from Schenectady to Averill Park six years ago and still insist on making the drive back for all well and sick visits. If you're looking for warm and fuzzy, this isn't the place for you...but if you're looking for high quality, dependable care at a reasonable price, Dr. Hartman's your guy.
I brought my cat in yesterday to have him updated on his shots. The girl at the desk was very friendly. I had no problems with Dr. Hartman. He gave my cat Linc his shots & even trimmed his nails for me for free!! I have nothing but praise for the Doctor & his staff!!
I've been coming here for over 15 yrs with my dogs, cats and birds. They're always very nice and great with my pets :)
