Bills before due, nickel and dimes you to death.........a very sorry company.
Don't have power outages very often, but when we do, Union Power is very quick to get it back on.
September 6,2022 We lost power yesterday around 3:30. We received notice around 5 pm that service would be restored between 7 & 7:30 within a reasonable time. At 6:45 our lights came on with no flicker or flashing one-off. Great Job!!
I have been a customer for over 35 years. My power bill is now $30 higher due to their automatic membership fees. I have my heat on 58 degrees and my A/C sits on 85 degrees, I use a kerosene heater to supplement heat and with all of that, my bill never goes below $72/mth. Friends with Duke Energy have lower bills without being inconvenienced as I am. Recently, the power has gone off during my time getting ready for work, 2 times in less than 3 mths.
