We did not have a wedding here. We heard about the building and wanted to see it, but it was closed. We walked around it, and what a fantastic building. We are from the Yosemite area, and one of our favorite buildings is the Ahwahnee on the valley floor of Yosemite. These two buildings were both designed by Gilbert Stanley Underwood. The similarity is amazing. Love this building. I'm so glad it is being preserved, maintained, and used.

Wonderful historic building
The Union Pacific Dining Lodge was the PERFECT venue for our destination wedding! The building is beautiful, historic, rustic, and large enough to accommodate a massive group but quaint enough that our group of 60 didn’t feel tiny in it. The venue provides all the tables and chairs you could want, and the fully-stocked commercial kitchen is a caterer’s dream! The Firehole Room and bar are perfect for a cocktail hour.
