My 5 year old was treated for trauma from the waiting room over the course of 10 hours. The place was dirty. I felt disgusted sitting there and will probably get sick now. Patients were sitting on top of eachother coughing and sneezing. I ended up standing and holding my daughter away from all the chaos. While I understand it was busy, the lack organization and of sanitary environment needs so be addressed. I will drive to Plainfield before going back to Union ER. There's a major lack of respect here. They seem to get very upset with anyone who comes up here who isn't having a life threatening emergency. Never mind the fact sometimes people have medical issues that need attended to, and maybe when their primary outpatient doctor isn't in the office. Now I know they would get tired of certain people say coming in here just to get pain medicines etc. You know for the wrong reasons. But I'm sure not one of those people. I'd take the chance making it to indy before walking back into this ER. I'm not even sure how they have the doors open. Will be filling a complant with state department of health

I have brought my husband in here twice in the last eight weeks. 1st broke hip, second edema. They have been nothing but nice and thorough.
