I placed an order for a residential condo HVAC unit with Unilux in April 2024. The original timeline committed was 6-8 weeks. Now, after 17-months and many rounds of unfulfilled commitments, there is still no resolution. Unilux's responses have become increasingly vague and non-committal. I would think twice before placing an order with them.
DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDING THIS COMPANY. Really bad service. Tried calling for the past year and nobody is ever available to pick up. The thermostat they sell is purely trash. Nothing works. You get no after sales services from them. Do the general public a favour and stop providing services to anyone. We would be more at peace and way more less frustrated if this company closes down.
We recently moved into a condo with two Unilux fan coils with old Honeywell thermostats. Taran came over to upgrade our thermostats to Universe, and they are working great. He also cleaned out both fan coils, replaced filters, and left some extras for us too. The best part is he noticed we had a broken actuator and was able to immediately pick up a replacement part and fix it for us. In a new building (less than 4 years) with a defective thermostat and the company refused to cover it under warranty when it's clearly defective. Steer clear if you dont want a poor quality manufacturered thermostat.
