Update 2026: We came back to Uni’Ko for my birthday and the sushi was still amazing! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented as always. The food here is consistently excellent. This is an update from my previous visit in 2025, and the quality of the sushi is still outstanding. Definitely one of our favorite spots for sushi.
We’ve been going here for years and the sushi is phenomenal, but the service has really gone done. Nobody is kind or attentive or grateful. We literally barely were waited on and had to ask for everything from our food sitting on the counter to the check after we had finished eating for easily 20 minutes. It’s unfortunate to have such great food with such horrible service. The ambiance is also stiff and dark and not welcoming or warm at all.
This place never disappoints. Great Sushi and fried rice. The service is fantastic and attentive. In a nice location in San Antonio.
Food wasn’t that great tbh. It’s over priced and subpar quality and taste. The miso soups was probably the best. I had miso soup, chicken fried rice, beef yakitori, the select roll and and a Hanataki plate (idk if I spelled it correctly) Beef in the yakitori was so dry and chewy I just sent it back. It was not very flavorful either. Chicken in the fried rice was a bit dry too. The fried rice overall was flavorless as well. Could use more butter, salt, and some umami.
