Went to green st structure , keyed in license plate to pay $15 ticket and returned to vehicle and placed ticket on dashboard. Came back to car after dinner only to find a ticket for $56 saying the parking ticket was not displayed properly since half fell in the deep dashboard of Tacoma. The fact that they asked for plate number when paying means they should have a record we paid. The parking attendant near the chase Bank in pasadena threatened to fight me over me just going to use the ATM. I was using bank parking that is free for 20 min I should not have had to be threatened and extorted into paying the $10 fee!! DO NOT PAY THE FINE. IT IS ILLEGAL FOR THEM TO FINE YOU!! Neither California Vehicle Code section 22658, nor any other state law, authorizes private property owners to issue parking citations imposing monetary sanctions to the owners of vehicles parked on their property.
Smart service
Had dinner at Mi Piacé restaurant in Pasadena, we get out to get our valet parked car and there are no workers around. We have been waiting a while and people are coming out to get their cars still no one around to get our ticket. When finally someone comes to get our ticket and we mention the wait, he says " well, you could have paid $20 and parked here"!
