What kind of therapist blows a client off and makes them feel bad? I went to Arlene Unger because she was covered by my insurance. We had one session where she was dismissive and felt judgmental regarding the content of our session. She wanted to wrap up early and asked me several times about how I would pay the co-pay (our meeting was online), like that was her primary concern. Dr. Unger returned my initial call to see if I could set up an appointment. I found her to be condescending and dismissive during our conversation. Not what I’m looking for in a mental health provider.
Dr Unger should have 100 stars! I have a severe chronic health disability which after 25 years of marriage was getting worse. My husband had sunk into depression drinking plus anger issues. I literally crashed that year, unable to work, battled my disease alone and watched our marriage crumble. Told my husband to get his act together, then got on a flight back home for a few weeks.
