We cancelled one month after making a 50% payment to UE and approximately six months before the scheduled date. I contacted them to ask whether a partial refund might be possible, given the amount of notice provided. I was referred to the contract terms, which do not allow refunds, and no accommodation was offered. We could have waited another three months to notify them but we wanted to be considerate. Unfortunately, that consideration was not reciprocated.
