The therapist we were assigned felt like a random choice, and unfortunately, they were not a good fit at all. While you could request a different therapist, the process felt impersonal, and we didn’t have much confidence in finding someone suitable.

It was a complete waste of time. I had to take an assessment before being seen by a therapist. They ended up leaving me a voicemail turning me away after telling me that they shouldn’t have any issues finding me a therapist. I feel like that should have been my decision. Now I have to waste more time trying to find a new therapist and it may take weeks.
Sara Schmitz, MEd, LPC is a gifted, creative, and magically disarming therapist. Her workshop on combining play therapy with EMDR taught me more than I could have imagined about supporting children during therapy sessions.
