What a wonderful afternoon! The Santa Monica Underground Donut Tour was such a fun experience and a totally unique way to explore the neighborhood. Mike, who my husband knows through his great Dodger Stadium tours, was an incredible guide — warm, funny, and clearly passionate about his subject. Had an amazing time on the Downtown Santa Monica Underground Donut Tour — honestly one of the best things we’ve done as a family in a long time. Our guide Mike was fantastic; his knowledge of donut history and local Santa Monica culture was genuinely impressive. We kicked things off at Randy’s where the Apple Fritter blew us away — incredible flavor and not too sweet. Wow. Our retirement home group went of the Underground Donut Tour of Santa Monica today and it was a blast. Our guide, Mike, was very knowledgeable and gave us a fun (and delicious tour). Started at Randy's Donuts on Wilshire Blvd. My favorite there was the apple fritter. A short walk brought us to Sidecar Donuts -- where I had my first ever walnut bacon donut. Superb!
