First time here and was disappointed: food was average and uninspired. Waited on by a youngish woman with dark hair pulled back. After 30 minutes I asked where my order was: she responded, with a roll of her eyes, we called out twice. A caring and compassionate employee might wave me over or walk 4 feet to tell me food was ready. I’m elderly and hard of hearing. First time finding the Underground bakery in Dennis Village underneath the frame shop, hence the name underground. Had a hankering for donuts, and we were not disappointed. No joke, the Boston cream, and the jelly donut we had were perhaps two of the best donuts we’ve ever eaten. Delicious, substantial, and had us both wishing we had bought more! Great environment, had a real nice chat with people eating breakfast. Well worth the visit if you’re in Dennis!

Don’t let the size fool you - I think this is the friendliest coffee shop/bakery on the Cape! Laurie, Em, Owen and the team do a great job and make everyone feel like they are part of the neighborhood. The specialty lattes, muffins, pastries and dog biscuits are my family’s favorites. Paninis and ramen are also favorites this time of year. Don’t come to Dennis without stopping in, then drive down the road to Corporation beach for a pretty breakfast view. Highly recommend!

My favorite cafe on the Cape! Everything from the baked goods, coffee, sandwiches- Amazing! The people at underground are the best. I can't wait to visit the Cape soon to go back. The space itself is really cute and comfortable and they sell local art and jewlery. Hightly recommend!
