Great experience. I purchased a bike here in 2017 and Chris and his team were so helpful. Multiple emails, talks, and test rides on the greenway later and I was able to get the perfect bike for what I wanted from a great shop. Definitely would recommend them for all your cycling needs.
This review is long overdue. I have made underdog my go to local bike shop for the past couple years. The owner and staff are always extremely helpful and easy to talk to. These guys have preformed same day repairs for me several times which gets me back on the trails asap and that is always awesome. Prices seem very fair and they keep a lot of stuff in stock from a variety of great brands.
Amazing people, that's all there is to it. I have dropped in for repairs large ("sit down, this might be ugly") and small (one twist of a bolt) and just to socialize, and always leave feeling like I am a family member. I honestly can't think of enough nice things to say about these folks.
This shop was a life saver. My son and two of his buddies biked the entire Blue Ridge Parkway beginning Sunday August 13 and just finished this past Friday August 20. On Saturday August 12 the cable on one of the bikes broke. Luckily we had an extra bike that could be used for Sunday but was not the optimum. I drove 80 miles Staunton, Va to Roanoke, Va on Sunday afternoon to this bike shop. They were the only one open on Sunday in the area.
