Popped into see Tony when replacing a battery down the road for a squeak coming from power steering . Tony advised it was the power steering pump and quoted to get a new or second hand pump plus two hours to fix which would have been minimum $1000. I mentioned at the time that it could be the belt but he insisted it was the pump. I took the car to a power steering specialist that swapped the belt in five minutes and charged $80 including labour. Glad I didn't choose to use the service on offer here. I'm sorry to post this, but I believe I have too to either ensure the owner takes better care and time with his installs in the future. Just over 3 months ago I had a third party alternator installed by Tony to my 2009 HiAce. As I drove it home (not even 10kms) it seemed all good, until I drove uphill the next day and the air filter through pipe completely blew off. Luckily there was no other damage done, and I fixed it myself and found that the entire pipe hadn't even been bracketed/braced back in place at all, or the hose ... read more
