I recently came into the shop to purchase various chocolate goods for some friends and family, and was very pleased by the variety and the quality of the candy. I was referred by a friend, who raved about the taste.....but warned me about the staff. I am sorry to say that the warning was true. The staff member who served me was incredibly rude and unhelpful; every question I asked was met with derision, and I felt as if I was being rushed out the door. We used Uncle Sam's Chocolate for a business awards dinner - 150 people. Each person received a lovely little box of truffles at their place setting. I was ordering from out of state so I spoke directly to the owner Russ, and he couldn't have been more helpful. Such a lovely person! He actually drove the chocolate to our dinner site for me! (Thank you, Russ!) As far as the taste - EVERYONE Loved them!!! I love this place so much! You can get chocolates for every occasion!!
I ordered some pretzels and other items to be shipped. They shipped items to me and not where I wanted it shipped. When I called they said it was because I paid via PayPal. They said that with using PayPal they bill to and ship to the same address. I've never heard of this. The solution they gave me was me forwarding it to the address it should have been shipped to originally. So I paid shipping when I placed order and now I will have to pay shipping again.
