I've raised pigs for 12+ years. Used many different processors. I had an emergency kill go to Finn's meats, who uses Uncle Jim's for their ham and bacon smoking. I started to save a belly to take in for bacon after that. This year, we wanted to take in some ground meat leftover in the freezer for some pepperoni. We took in 12.5 pounds of our ground pork, 11.5 pounds of ground beef, 1 pound of ground elk and 3 pounds of bacon that Uncle Jim's had just finished for us. Was at the ridge motor sport racetrack in Shelton and they were extremely unorganized. I ordered a hand dipped corn dog and garlic fries for $22. The garlic fries were dumped from the grease straight into the bowl without draining leaving the fries sitting in a bowl of grease. I was never told where to wait for the corn dog and finally had to ask after a while. Worst service and food quality ever!!! 😒 The owner replied to my wifes review by saying she could tell my wife was going to be trouble when she walked up... judging somebody by looks alone makes you not nice person. The garlic fries were swimming in oil. They looked more like soggy noodles than fries. I have never been turned off by fries until tonight. I'll give them a clue. If your fries come out oil soaked your oil temp is too low. Possibly trying to cook to many fries too fast at a busy venue with a low capacity fryer? ... read more
