Good location , Bad Attitude – I like the location and the funky clothes they have but not their attitude. While I was getting my two strand twists done ,(which I didn't like )my husband tried to come in the back to check if I needed anything while waiting but the gentlemen that works there, (I believe he is one of the owners,) rudely told my husband that he couldn't come to the back not even for a second. I'm in love with Uncle Funky's Daughter – I love this place! I found it online and decided to try it for myself. I scheduled a consultation, met the owners Tonya and Ray, and scheduled an appointment for loc maintenance. Not only did she use their amazing products on my hair, she gave me a complimentary style since I mentioned I never style my hair! Customer Service Issues – I became aware of this salon after an article in the Houston Chronicle. I had a consulation and have also gone there for washes, trims, twist extenstions and twists. The location is cute as is the shop. The clothes are ecletic but not "to die for". Appointments are different to schedule because they require a cash deposit no matter how long you've been going there and Saturdays must be booked weeks in advance. Best hot clothes for a night on the town or just everyday. – Uncle Funky's is by far the hippest, chicest, place for funky hot clothes. I highly recommend it for any young, hip female looking for hot clothes for parties or everyday wear.

Best natural salon ever! – The first time I walked into this place I felt a great warmth and comfort. I received a very thorough consultation and the owner was very professional. When I arrived for my appointment I was greeted, my hair was shampooed and we immediately started the Sisterlock service. Exceptional, Blissful Experience – I was given a gift certificate to get my natural hair styled at this salon and the experience was absolutely exceptional. My two-strand twists were LOVELY and the salon and boutique has this funky, 70's soulful decor took my breath away. They thought of every detail and u can feel the love of the husband and wife team in their personal touches. MUST experience to appreciate!
