It's rare when a positive experience is shared. It is not rare, to have a positive experience at UNC Rockingham ED. I came to the ED in a difficult position and the nurses that attended to me both helped me get some much needed relief/assistance. The Dr. listened to what I had to say and did not judge or speak down to me. The same goes for the nurses. They showed patience and kindness. We waited over 4 hours with very few people in the queue. The triage nurse felt my son wasn’t in serious enough condition for the ER. We do not frequent the ER. Haven’t been in at least 6 years. We go to our primary care physician. If it wasn’t urgent, serious and potentially dangerous we wouldn’t be in the ER accumulating a massive bill for sub par care. I went back in August of 2024 for upper right abdomen pain ( which come to find out I have gallstones, which could've made me turn septic, and now I have to have surgery to remove my gallbladder) all thanks to the er doctor or whatever he was!!! Never ran any tests or nothing, pressed on the spot that was hurting and said " oh it's acid reflux and heart burn." I have 2 ear infections waited from 930-1am in the waiting room. Asked the lady at the desk and they said the doctor called me a long time ago. How am I supposed to hear anyone calling me with 2 ear infections. This place is trash!
