I just recently changed my doctor because of my experience at white oak. The nurse I was seeing seemed like she didn’t care about what I was saying and my concerns and would speak over me and or for me. Which I didnt mind because she wasn’t outwardly rude BUT the check out person was. I go to check out and she asks for my name and I tell her with the correct pronunciation and she asks where my name is from. Which is perfectly fine I love telling people that. I left a correct handicap placard form at the front desk for the doctor to sign and mail it to me on the 17th July 2024.It took them 6 days to sign and mail it to me,which they mailed on the 23th after I called to inquire the morning of 23th. First the front office gave me a wrong form on the 10th of July, which DMV rejected as it was for handicap license plate.No apologies was offered for her mistake, the African American lady at the front has attitude problem. I’ve been a patient of Dr Darkes for a year now, he has been patient and detailed as he cared for my complex chronic health issues. However, I am unhappy with the administrative staff demeanor, lack of empathy and attention to detail. Straight forward paperwork will not get done without chasing after. The door was closed and locked at 16:50 during business hours as I was picking up paperwork. Had to speak to someone from UNC to address customer care, namely towards persons with disabilities.
