The wait time is horrible. They will give you an appointment date and time, be prepared to sit in the lobby for 30min-44min before anyone can see you. On a good day you will haive a wait time of 15min.
Beware, they’ll schedule you weeks out, but not notify you of any expected copay or deductible. Went for what I thought would be a preventative new patient exam and ended with a $363 bill. Well played UNC, I only schedule two months prior.
I switched to UNC Family Medicine and so far I am extremely happy with my physician, Dr. Nguyen, and the staff. I do non-urgent check-ins on the portal every once in awhile to keep him abreast of the health plan that I follow and he responds very quickly. I feel genuinely cared for and have to say, I am back in shape feeling like I did 15 years ago. Ever so grateful to my care team.
