My son who has mental issues went to ER. He was highly agitated, which is part of his illness. Instead of finding out who he was or his medical history, they had an officer literally throw him out causing a knee injury. This ER needs training on how to deal with patients who have mental illnesses.

I just had my 80 year old mother there and the nurses were rude and disrespectful to her. I tried to explain to them that she has always been hard to get an iv. And that if they needed blood it would take a butterfly needle to get the nurse proceeds to tell me that that is not possible they can not use a butterfly. Ive taken phlebotomy so I do know what im talking about so I know that it is possible to use a butterfly to obtain blood. She was allowed to try twice to stick my mother and blew both veins. I had my Arthroscopic procedure in day surgery. Pre-op nurse Michelle, recovery nurse Terri and anesthesiologist Dr. Zsoldos that where informative, kind, and professional.
