Horrible experience at Unisource. I arrived with my elderly mother for a knee replacement. I had a well trained and very polite service dog with me. When checking in they said nothing about the dog being a problem. They took my mother back to prep her for her surgery. The RN Sandy then came and told me I needed to put my dog in the car so I could go see my mother. It was 80 degrees out so this was not going to be an option and not safe for my dog. Very disappointed in their nursing care. As a nurse myself, I would never treat patients and their family members that way. I expected better nursing care for an outpatient surgical center. The nurse never once checked on my husband as he waited a few hours for his procedure. When they finally got him for the OR, he needed to use the restroom and the attending anesthesiologist offered to assist with this as they were no nurses. His patient clothes were just thrown in a cabinet in the room, not even placed in a bag. I’m sure ... read more
