I wish I could post the name of the ref we had at our last Volleyball game of the season on 10/28/19 at Watsonville High. When I asked his name, he threatened to call the police. When other parents approached him with concerns, he threatened them as well. This ref made several bad calls throughout the game. The one that had all of us upset was in the middle of the second set. Mario is a cranky ump who favors teams instead of making fair calls. Is consistent with his awful calls and clear favoring over the past years. Is super sad because it's hurting the kids that are playing and teaches them that umps have the final say even when they are crooked. He is always in a bad mood and rushes teams on the field. Oh wait mostly rushes one city in particular to run on the field. Won't take the time to listen to coaches that want to ask questions or show him rules and will ignore certain pony rules to game... read more
