This place is a good old boy system. They will personally attack you and when they get reported they will do everything to cover it. The director is about 25 and has no knowledge. Know a couple of people who got fired for no reason and on a lie because they didn't "fit three script." The paramedics don't know who to treat patients.

On the Evening of 3/5/23 911 was called due to a reported heart attack for a 35 year old female. UMC EMS employees Jason McKinney, Melissa Montoya, and James Luke Adkins provided the optimal level of care while communicating by phone our daughter’s critical condition. Manual CPR was maintained and all heroic measures on the fragile condition of our Daughter! She was transported to UMC ER. I will never ride with UMC EMS again. My experience was terrible. I was in the middle of having an adverse reaction to a new medication and was having symptoms of a heart attack. My husband was out of town. I explained this to the dispatcher who assured me that she was relaying this to the EMT. I had to meet them outside of my front gate so that I could secure the gate. Multiple people in my family have had to unfortunately utilize UMC EMS for medical emergencies. They were always treated with care and professionalism. I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to take care of my family. They are much more than “ambulance drivers” and have larger skill set and medical knowledge than most people realize. UMC EMS employees are overworked many days and unrecognized by the public. I’m very grateful for such a skilled and talented group of people that take care of Lubbock and Lubbock County.
