I dont EVER leave reviews but this hospital took everything from my soul.. My mom was having every sign of a stroke and or cardiac arrest. Brought in by ambulance with blood pressure 216/106 and this place left her sitting in the ER waiting room for over 14hours.. Thats right 9pm- 11am next day and the only thing done was vitals… Still reading high blood pressure the RN kept saying ill come back around. We ended up leaving and going to the Rhode island hospital where they took my mother in right away and took her symptoms se... read more
This place gets worse by the day. ONE attending physician for over 60 pediatric patients in the ED? Make it make sense! The level of care and attention we received was extremely disappointing. The nurses need to do better, and UMass needs to take a serious look at how its pediatric emergency department is being run. Parents bring their children here because they’re worried and need help, not to sit for hours feeling ignored. Do better, UMass! Our children deserve better care, better communication, and better attention.

A lot of staff is nice but it takes one bad staff member to ruin any experience. On top of the times to be seen or the actual care we get bounced around one department has no idea what the other department is doing and it’s just frustrating because we have little access to the status of loved ones
