Kayaks, canoes and stand up paddle board rentals on the Merrimack. A great way to spend a sunny summer day. Bridge construction near the boathouse summer 2026 adds an extra layer of complication - or perhaps adventure? Just be advised - travel upstream will take you around some major obstructions while construction crews build supports for the upcoming (long overdue) replacement for the decades old "temporary" Rourke Bridge. Still an excellent way to spend a sultry summer afternoon/evening.
Great place to rent a kayak or canoe from. Its so nice and peaceful kayaking on the Merrimack River. The staff has been great every time. If it's your first time, the staff will go over some helpful tips before you head out. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend.
We had a really nice time kayaking here, but you can also rent a canoe or stand-up paddle board. Life vests and paddles are provided, as well as clear sleeves for your phone, and flotation chains for your glasses. The launch ramp makes getting into, and out of a kayak super-easy. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys paddling.
We tried pedal boarding here for the first time. We had a great time. The staff is very friendly and polite. The area is beautiful, the water is clean, but the road is quite close so sometimes it is noisy. Because they work until 8pm you can see the sunset on the water. It was beautiful!
