I saw Dr. Umar R Ahmad in New Milford. He put me on a very high dose of steroids and I had a horrible reaction to them . I went down the rabbit hole with depression, anxiety,irritation, confusion, as well as over all mind altering awareness. When I stopped the meds it took me 2 days to get my thoughts collected enough to call his office. Only to never hear anything back from them. I find this to be so unbelievable and unacceptable. Busy or not he could have called me.
Dr. Ahmad is very knowledgable but completely unavailable. If you have an urgent issue, Dr. Ahmad may not have time to care for you. For my issue, I will more likely end up in the emergency room before I hear back from this guy. Very unfortunately healthcare system... -Rebecca
I have been seeing Dr. Ahmad since I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. Every visit he has listened to my concerns and questions and reassured me that the direction we are taking with my medication is the best way. I trust him, enough that he is now my father's endocrinologist as well.
Dr.Ahmad, has a great bedside manner. I find that I can relate to him being a team player. Looks at your feet. Checks your thyroid, bp,pulse, resp. Spends time with you.
