We usually order from Sakura Garden in Hastings but tried Umami based on a friend’s recommendation. Yaki Soba was super bland. Both rolls were meh at best. Yellow tail and salmon sashimi was fine. Would not go back. Sticking to Sakura - which is also slightly cheaper.
Unami made for the most incredible Valentine’s Day experience! My fiancé surprised me with an omakase seating, and from start to finish, everything was perfection. The owner’s attention to detail and hospitality were truly unmatched—every course was timed beautifully, and the service was beyond exceptional. The food was great! If you're looking for delicious sushi with impeccable service, Unami is the place to go. Can’t wait to come back!
