We had a great lunch here; definitely one of our favorite Westchester sushi spots. Dropped by on a random weekday for lunch. The place seemed to be doing mostly lunch orders so we were the only ones there in person. They gave us a free appetizer (freshly torched fish which was delicious) and we ordered a variety of rolls which were all amazing.
The omakase looks great on paper but is not comparable to that in good sushi places in NYC. It’s as if someone tried it elsewhere and made a mediocre copy of it. Wine list is short and average. Rice temperature is not as warm as a true sushi chef would use (but not as cold as grocery store sushi). Fish quality is good but not exceptional. A 4pct extra charge for credit card use is sneaky. . If I could give them 10 stars I would. This is a long overdue review. We’ve been for the 16 course omakase two times and both times were fantastic. The first time was with chef Evan and he did an amazing job at unusual pairings that compliment each other very well, the second was with Kai who higlights the flavor and texture of the fish with subtle enhancements. Wonderful owner. Each course was delicious. Has become a regular spot for us.
Sushi is tiny and no utensils or soy sauce with our take out order Ordered by phone and still had to wait almost 20 mins
