Deceptive service. Mediocre food. When you walk in, the first thing the lady asks you is if you have been there before and didn’t bother explaining anything. She sat us down, we ordered, and she told us we can “take” off of the conveyer belt.. she didn’t explain the menu and prices. She simply said we can “take” off of “there too”. We had high hopes for Ukiyoe. It is clean, modern, and decorated in a more high-end manner than other revolving sushi restaurants we have been to. Unfortunately, that’s where our good vibes ended. The sushi menu seems extensive, but it seems to be just different iterations of the same fish and shrimp tempura. The very first item pulled from the conveyor belt (Bubba Gump roll) was cold despite containing shrimp tempura. The next items, gyoza and shumai, were also cold.
