My little Ferg was transferred to U of I vet clinic after he was suspected to have a liver torsion at 2 of our primary vets and recommended for a liver lobectomy. The doctors at U of I saw him immediately and were very informative on our options. Not only were the doctors patient with all our questions but so sympathetic towards our overwhelming feelings/ fears. Ferg was hospitalized for 2 days but came home with us after he was in the clear. My dog needed an emergency pace maker put in. The staff were amazing! Dr. Lo was very good at explaining the surgery and even gave my other dog a heart rate vest to help monitor his heart for research! Free of charge! Definitely recommend!
My review is specifically for Dr. Kaufman and vet student Amy who treated of my dog Frankie Freckle Toes while she was hospitalized and Dr. Chun who is continuing her treatment currently. We came in on Halloween night and my dog Frankie was very very sick. She was later diagnosed with a severe case of histoplasmosis and her prognosis was very poor- I wasn’t sure she would make it out of there at all.
