This entire department lacks ethics and empathy. Very shady people work here, beware.
I have changed Drs within the Psychiatry department and still get stood up, late appointments, and more. There is a complete lack of disrespect for a working and broke student trying to be on time. Excuses that all appointments run late and seep into each other, but whenever I am with a Dr, it's quiet as crickets and awkward as hell.
This facility used to be the Illnois State Psychiatric Institute(ISPI). I was a patient there in the early 1980's and it was horrible place then.kind of like a prison, really, with lots of really stupid and pathetic rules on the unit and it's school(I was a teenager then."ISPI" had two teenage units at that time)
Don’t even bother going here if you need any kind of medication. They “don’t believe in prescribing medication” and will just refer you to a clinic. Cut out the middle man. Go to a clinic. Get a diagnosis, and avoid these clowns at all cost.
