Just revolting - AVOID AT ALL COSTS ! This place is truly pathetic. The psychiatrist I saw has no business being in the mental health field. She made almost no eye contact, stared at her computer screen the whole time. A sign in her office says to not confuse your internet search with her medical degree! I would NOT Recommend being seen here at UHS outpatient mental health, Can't get a word in with the Psychiatrist's, the social workers and therapists all leave and no one is there to be Reassigned to, I was Referred to this place to deal with PTSD as a Retired United States Marine, I have went elsewhere and received the treatment needed to help deal with various mental health conditions, if you are able to get into CTRC at greater Binghamton health center I would recommend going here .
They have the best people working there all temporarily! So I waste my breathe telling my therapist my life story and all about the abuse I’ve endured since I was born, only for her to be replaced after about a year. Then with my new therapist I have to start over and repeat everything I took a year to tell my therapist before this one. So no real progress ever gets made because once I finally finish conveying everything from my past I’m given a new therapist I have to start from the beginning of my story with. Azim was telling me that my diagnoses was considered irreverent, even though I have decades of different diagnoses throughout my life. Not to mention really rude people. No wonder it's falling apart.
Glad to see reality is still in control. This place continues to get bad reviews. One person claims to have benefited recently, he ended up here so his credibility is questionable. Here's a suggestion to the social workers here: If you want to help people, use your ubermenchsen brains and that EXPECTATION CRUSHING WORK ETHIC that got you that phd in guided meditation or whatever other degree you fought against adversity to gain, and open a legitimate business that pays people well for honest work.
