What a crappy hospital. Emergency room staff is beyond lazy (2nd and night shift, not sure about first shift) I've seen the security guards be extremely rude to patients and their family members. If you have an actual emergency pray you have enough time to get somewhere else!
30 min in the wait room then hours to even get blood drawn and pain meds. Even longer to get basic imaging. No it wasn’t busy. PA and Dr were fine… no one seemed to be in any real hurry. Never again!
Tried going to the ER last night because I needed stitches. The guy at the desk asked me why I was there 4 different times within a 2 minute span. Went into triage and there was blood on the floor that hadn't been cleaned up and it wasn't mine. Completely unsanitary. Sat out in the waiting room for over an hour and no one who was there before me had even been called back yet. Decided to get skin glue and skip the stitches and left. Normally I stay away from UH hospital system because of multiple bad experiences. However, I had to go by ambulance yesterday (7-28-25). I want to say thank you to the amazing staff that cared for me while I was there. Monica Sparks was my provider and the nurse name I can remember was Beth (trainee). There were 5 other nurses between triage and Super track (or fast track🤷♀️) that need a shout out too! All of you including the EMTs were so compassionate and caring.
