I would highly recommend Ugol Woodworks for any of your custom-built furniture needs. We wanted a custom-built closet system for our mudroom and we had an idea of what it should look like. The owner (Constantine) was patient and helpful, sharing his knowledge and expertise throughout the process, without ever trying to upsell. When it comes to choosing furniture, you should always pay attention to the quality and functionality of the item, as well as its durability, and last but not least - you should like it. At Ugol Woodworks all these points are taken into account. Constantine is a highly skilled professional and I will always admire his approach to details and his unique craftsmanship. A couple of years ago we decided to upgrade our dining room furniture. We weren’t in a hurry, and eventually we found a table we really liked at a high-end store in Cambridge which sells furniture made by small shops in Western MA and elsewhere. I had the idea of cutting out the middleman and having something similar custom made. I asked Ugol Woodworks for a quote because they had done some beautiful carpentry for friends of ours. Constantine may be a great worker and an exceptional craftsman, but when it comes to treating his employees with the respect and dignity they deserve he unfortunately falls very short of that mark. In my time with him he was extremely abusive both verbally and mentally. In 3 months I also saw 4 employees hired and all 4 quit within 1 weeks time. I was the only one who lasted 3 months.
