I have yet to work with Dr. Akoma. For the past 2 weeks I have been trying to confirm if my referral to this hospital has gone through. No one at the receptionist desk wants to return my phone calls, which from other reviews I see is unfortunately the normal. I have an appointment scheduled for 8/6 but I have no idea if Dr. Akoma will be able to see me because no one at the office will confirm if my paperwork went through. Ugochi knows how to get the job done and is very professional at what she does. Don’t misinterpret her. She’s very nice, polite, and attentive. She does a fabulous job at what she does and she a wonderful MD I highly recommend seeing her.
Dr Akoma has been amazing i first went to her with many worries and she quickly put my needs before anything when I first got there I was a ball of stress she was just so patient , kind and understanding I left that day feeling a million times better I actually got sleep that night... she made sure I had a peace of mind.. i also had a great experience with Dr Heather .. Angel on earth. I suffered a stillbirth under different care. I met with Dr. Akoma for a consult for my next pregnancy. She answered ALL of my questions, and took her time. We came up with a plan for when I got pregnant again. Once I was pregnant, she made me so calm at every appointment. She still answered all my questions, and even called me after if I had any further questions. She was always in contact with my OB as well during my entire pregnancy.
