Fished the river and for carp with Blake. Excellent guide, personable, and very knowledgeable. Trout numbers on the North Platte were way higher than the average trout stream in the West. The carp outing was way cool -- nailed three big carp (two different species) sight-fishing in just a couple hours.
Sarah was a great help, and very honest about the river, regardless of booking a guide trip. She mentioned successful flies and locations where fish were holding. Let's just say I was pleased with the North Platte River and The Ugly Bug Fly Shop. This Coloradan will be back. Thanks Sarah!! Josh
Amazing store!
Thank you guys, I was in the shop on Wednesday afternoon to pick up some tying material and ask about where to fish. I got great advice given willingly and picked up a new pair of wading boots at a great price! Great shop and friendly people!!
