I cannot thank the UF Veterinary Hospital at WEC enough for saving our 9 year old lab! He was bit by a rattlesnake and they fixed him up overnight at a very reasonable price considering he needed antivenom. I pray that we never need to come back, but I would recommend them to absolutely anyone. A beautiful facility, the nicest/most caring staff, and a wonderful outcome for our pup.

A male dog showed up on my front porch at midnight a week ago. It was clearly someone's pet and was very friendly. We didn't want to risk it getting hit, and we didn't have space to keep it overnight until animal control was available again. The UF Vet Hospital at WEC was happily willing to check this pup for a chip. They also checked his vitals, all for free. I spent too many hours at UF emergency clinic than I care to remember. The biggest problem with them is that you sit there for 4, 5,6 or more hours waiting and nobody ever says a word to you. Nobody says it should be about this much longer or it’s going to be a while or it won’t be too much longer. It’s as if you’re invisible and If you ask at the front desk, they just look at you and say we don’t know. And every time I’ve been there, there has been only one vet.
