I had a disappointing experience with the front desk staff at the Santa Barbara Kort facility on Saturday, a week ago. The receptionist, Asia, was rude, loud, and unfriendly from the moment I walked in. When I asked her to repeat my insurance information—since she rushed through it and my coverage had changed—she became even more disrespectful. Yes They do have an amazing staff at Barbara Kort However do not trust going into any procedure or biopsy you will be billed an extraordinary amount not disclosed upfront. I don’t know any medical facility where you were going to get a procedure and they don’t tell you the cost associated. I was told that this was my responsibility.
Amazing service and staff from check-in to finish. The facility is clean, quiet and well maintained. Front desk staff was so kind and understanding. I am a tough patient because I get very anxious around scans and have tiny veins so I dread getting the contrast every time. My tech Marcie was AMAZING and took so much good care of me! I was nervous and got a bit sick and she helped me while doing an amazing job with my tiny hard to find veins. If the UCLA imaging library directs you here for picking up your radiology records, don't. I called Barbara Kort in advance to confirm they could make me a CD and despite this was treated very rudely and told to go across the street. I'm not an idiot, just following instructions. They need to clear this up with the library department.
