I scheduled a visit here for what I understood to be my annual wellness exam, but later received a bill showing it was processed differently than I expected through insurance. I just had my first appointment with Dr. Gloria Lu. She was fine, but her office is a hot mess. I have now had many conversations with her office staff trying to accomplish simple follow-up tasks and no one knows what they are doing. I had a question about follow-up testing, and their response was to tell me the number to call for scheduling. They did not answer my question at all. Just wanted to give me a wrong answer and get rid of me. Or I've gotten "I'll have to get back to you" then another person responds with another ... read more

Dr Masukawa is awesome. I'm in my 40s and she is the best doctor I have ever had by far. She's very competent, quick, caring, and thorough -- can't think of any other quality a doctor could have. Unfortunately, the experience with the office and UCI Health unfortunately doesn't match the quality of the care we get from Dr Masukawa. They are hard to reach, schedule appointments, have them pass messages/referral requests to the doctor, etc. and they seem overly keen on getting you in the office (and have you pay the co-pay), a... read more
