Dr Powell performed a laparoscopic hernia on me two years ago. When I couldn’t eat and lost a hundred pounds I saw another surgeon in the same practice. They could not understand or explain why Dr. Powell had done an old procedure that wasn’t done anymore because of the symptoms I was having. I have just done more tests that require me to find another surgeon and have more surgery. I am not happy. DO NOT SEE DR POWELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Met with Robert Powell after being referred by the ER. I felt well taken care of and he answered any questions I had and made me feel at ease beforehand. Day of, all of staff was great and did a great job!
I would give him more stars because I thought he was good but he was supposed to follow up with a referral and since then I can't get a response from him. His nurse won't even pass along a message to him and is basically blocking me from talking to him to get the referral. They have been very difficult to deal with and I won't be back strictly because I don't feel like I should have to put so much effort into getting a call from him for something he was supposed to do in the first place. I had a very positive experience this month with Dr Powell’s repair of an umbilical hernia I likely got 6 years ago when birthing my youngest. Dr. Powell and his whole staff are excellent. I ask so many questions, some of which I know are ridiculous, and every single provider there (the nurses, the PA, the anesthesiologist, and Dr. Powell) answered every question fully and without judgement.
