Great visit. I did a cardiology screening due to family issues and although nothing came up she did not make me feel small bc i was checking things out. She spent lots of time explaining the tests.
After a 3 month wait, she told me I did not have a rash despite that fact that my RASH has been biopsied 4 times & shows connective tissue disease. Spent about 4 minutes in the room. Totally unreal.
I had a hysterectomy performed by Dr. Melinda Sharkey, and sadly, the care I received after the surgery was deeply disappointing. Post-op appointments felt rushed, and I rarely got the time or space to discuss my concerns. I was often asked why I was there, and every time I brought up symptoms, the response was always along the lines of, “Well, we didn’t do anything wrong. What stands out is that he listened. He was very laid back. I never felt rushed and we discussed everything I needed to discuss. I believe he will be my heart doc from now on and I feel confident I can discuss anything concerning my issues with him. His office even rearranged a pre lab test appt right before seeing him so it will be very convenient for me. I am so impressed with his office and with him.
I've heard Dr. Austin is a competent clinician. However I share the same sentiment with another reviewer that she does not really seem to be interested in hearing from me and has one foot out the door as soon as she walks in.
Dr. Birnbaum is one of the best doctors I have ever consulted with. His humanistic approach and care is a beacon of light for all physicians to aspire to achieve.

I have been under the care of Dr. Pettine since 2017. I had gastric sleeve surgery done in Mexico and suffered complications after I had returned home. I saw many of the staff at the bariatric clinic before Dr. Pettine took over my care since he was the most specialized. This was my 5 month visit following life saving cardio thoracic surgery. Dr. Treat was perfunctory and clearly uninterested in my health and wellbeing. I had several questions about my chest incision and scar which he answered in the most superficial manner, and then told me to go see my surgeon for follow up care.I will make sure to insist on seeing a different cardiologist in the future.
