I went to Arruda last summer after seeing an obgyn who recommended I remove a fibroid and the ovary it was on. I went to her because she appeared to be skilled at surgery and knowledgeable enough to provide more information on my diagnosis. I remember that she asked if I was going to have both ovaries removed and seemed somewhat hesitant about this. Dr. Arruda is a highly trained and skilled OBGYN specialist. She performed a laparoscopic procedure. I had no complications and a smooth recovery.
First visit with Dr. Arruda she was very nice and patient with me. I tend to freak out at doctors visits and she showed genuine care of my emotional state and well being. Her nurse was very good too. There is a woman who works there at the scheduling desk named Melanie. She is so sweet and has such a big heart. She went out of her way to talk to me and help me feel more at ease with my situation. I am so greatful for these people being there for me today.
Dr Arruda read my history and provided a second opinion on a diagnosis. She was very knowledgeable on the subject and provided a treatment plan that is helping.
Dr. Arruda has been really great to work with. She was really helpful and explained everything very thoroughly to me at the first appointment and was not in a rush. She has also been really responsive on the portal, answering all my questions within a day- she even called me personally to discuss some questions over the phone. I really appreciate her level of care and expertise. Her staff is great, too!
