Rare plants & birds. The proteus collection is over the top
We had a wonderful time on our visit - beautiful flowers and trees from Australia, South Africa and New Zealand - as well as a huge area filled with succulents!
So peaceful and quiet loves the different kinds/family of the plants from different country, good location right by the UCSC. Love it!
Beautiful place to reunite with Mother Nature. Very pretty flowers & nice place to walk around little trails with grandchildren.
Of course the plants are spectacular, but it is the wildlife that gives the gardens their magic. I can't get enough of the bird watching opportunities. The pathways and location makes it ideal for people who have physical difficulty getting around. It is a great place for quiet individual exploring, or joining one of the guided events. You can't get it wrong. Love this place. For the past four years I have been traveling there, on a regular basis, to take in everything the Arboretum has to offer the senses.
The Gardens at the Arboretum are some of the most beautiful anywhere in this County. The Birds, especially the Hummingbirds, make it a wonderful place for a Peaceful walk.
But was very disappointed to see how neglected is the fruit collection - especially that there is no better place to grow them anywhere on the planet...
